What you need to know depending on your position

Accounting firm designated contact

  • Create your new account using the credentials you received by email in January 2026 to link your firm’s new client file with your new account.
  • Add or remove members of the personnel in your firm’s client file and grant the authorizations required to enable them to submit monthly reports.
  • Assist members of the personnel in creating their account.
  • Validate the list of employers converted by the CCQ in your firm’s client file.

If your firm hasn’t designated a person responsible for its file at the CCQ

Before your accounting team can access your organization’s files and the files of your clients, you must designate a person responsible for the file.

There are two ways to designate someone:

  • Contact the employer help line at 1 877 973-5383.
  • Fill out the form to ensure the CCQ adds you and sends you the credentials necessary.

  • Receive the credentials to link files by email.
  • Link your file using these credentials.

Regulatory and administrative changes

The launch of the improved online services coincides with the modernized monthly report! It was designed to streamline the administration and regulation aspects, make compliance and transparency easier, and ensure the process is more equitable for all businesses.

Many regulatory and administrative changes will come into force in the next few months.

  • Statuses M, F, and L will no longer exist
  • A better way to determine the late submission penalty
  • Mandatory electronic payment

Authorizations and contacts in the files of your clients

Please make sure employers have authorized your firm to access their file and that members of your staff have been assigned. You can verify this in the “Relations et autorisations” section.

This guide (in French only) outlines the steps an employer must follow to authorize an accounting firm to access their file.

Please note that if an accountant provides site identification services, statements of account, and labour management for clients, they will not be able to log in as a contact in the firm’s file. Accountants responsible for these services must be added as designated contacts by the employer directly within their file.
